Two FREE Tickets up for grabs at key networking event

We have partnered with DCS Group to offer TWO WiW delegates free tickets to the Convenience Today / Convenience Tomorrow…. What’s New in 2020?’ event where you will meet some of the biggest names in convenience retail and wholesale.

Join us for a no-holds barred, no fence to sit on “Question Time’ panel debate event where you will have the opportunity to listen, question, learn and shape your channel strategies.

Speaker’s on the day include the incredible Debbie Robinson, Managing Director of Central England Co-operative,

There will be no pre-prepared presentations delivered. The format will be as you see it on Question Time. The distinguished panel will receive challenging questions from the audience. Numbers are strictly limited.

Confirmed panelists are:

Debbie Robinson: Central England Cooperative Society

Jonathan James: James Convenience Retail

Neil Turton: Sugro

Steve Fox, Motor Fuel Group

John Kinney: Unitas

Kevin Hunt: Hunts Spar

Steve Bassett: Londis multi site independent retailer

Amrit Singh: Nisa retailer and Independent Achiever’s Academy (IAA) overall winner for Best C Store 2019

What will be discussed? The audience will ultimately decide across the two panels but we know already these issues will be discussed:

Margins are under pressure – how do suppliers support c-retailers and wholesalers in the 2020s? What role to promotions play in this new era…. Are we too addicted to them or do they still serve a vital role? Are PMPs still relevant? What does the sector need to retain and abolish to remain relevant in today’s changing world? Are we making enough decisions using data (are we sufficiently data-lead)? We crave NPD…but does NPD pay?

The consumer of the new decade: vegan, ‘free from’, health conscious, environmentally conscious. Are c-stores even attracting these types of consumers. It also appears that supermarkets are supporting smaller challenger brands better. Is this a missed opportunity?

In February 2020, 33 people from the UK Wholesale and Convenience Retail sector will cycle over 600kms through Cambodia in support of MAG (Mines Advisory Group) and proceeds from ticket sales for this event will support the team so that more landmines and unexploded bombs can be cleared from conflict affected communities around the world. Since 1989, MAG has helped over 18 million people in 68 countries rebuild their lives and livelihoods after war.
