JJ and Kerrymaid team up to offer school caterers educational microsite

National wholesaler JJ Food Service has partnered with leading Irish dairy brand Kerrymaid to share information and recipes for school caterers via a dedicated web portal on the JJ website.

Caterers looking to achieve the Food for Life Catering Mark can gain valuable advice on the site, which features recipes that use Soil Association approved products and meal ideas from Kerrymaid brand ambassador Jeanette Orrey who is a School Meals Policy Advisor to the Soil Association and chair of the new School Food Plan Alliance.

Kerrymaid’s in-house team of nutritionists are now working closely with JJ in-house nutritionist, Nina Grosicka to develop nutritionally balanced, tasty meals for schools. Nina says, “Now it’s even easier for our school catering customers to achieve the Catering Mark standard of 75% freshly prepared meals. They can access the recipes anytime via a PC, tablet or on the go via a mobile. Even better, when they find a recipe they like, they’re only clicks away from getting the ingredients they need.”

Kerrymaid products contain no hydrogenated oils and are free from all undesirable additives, as identified by the Soil Association, allowing school caterers to create dishes that consistently comply with school standards.
